Below are some factors to consider when determining if coverage is appropriate:

• Does the policy have adequate limits? – keep in mind that the policy limits will be shared amongst all users/passengers including the operator/owner.
• Is the owner/operator abiding by the insurance contract language, i.e. use clause, pilot warranty etc.?
• Are you named as an additional insured, provided a waiver of subrogation (WOS) and does it have Primary and non-contributory wording?
• If you are in the “aviation” business i.e., you are responsible for arranging the flight, providing professional piloting service etc., coverage may not extend to your interest if not specifically mentioned or endorsed to do so
